The Role
We’re looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team and support inbound sales efforts to drive sales pipeline creation. This role involves managing inbound leads over the phone and email, qualifying leads, and scheduling meetings for the Account Executive team. The role also includes assisting with additional campaigns such as outreach to previously lost opportunities and cross-selling. What you’ll do:
- Create a strong first impression as the initial point of contact for businesses evaluating TaskRay, guiding them through the discovery process
- Execute, test, and optimize outreach sequences including email, call, and social messaging, incorporating A/B testing to improve conversion rates
- Conduct detailed account and contact research prior to outreach, including industry context, persona insights, and potential use cases
- Collaborate closely with Marketing to provide feedback on lead quality, campaign performance, and messaging resonance
- Maintain accurate CRM hygiene by updating lead statuses, activity logs, and contact records in Salesforce and HubSpot
- Assist with outbound and inbound campaign execution, including webinar and event follow-up, persona targeting, and content utilization
- Support Account Executives with territory and account mapping, including identifying decision makers, whitespace opportunities, and key buying triggers
- Leverage AI-powered tools and guidance to improve outreach efficiency, personalization, and lead qualification
- Perform other duties and cross-functional tasks as assigned to support Sales, Marketing, AI and Revenue Operations initiatives
What you bring to the table:
- 1–3 years of experience in sales or business development, including exposure to lead qualification, prospecting, and lead development
- Results-oriented, with the ability to move qualified leads to the next stage of the sales process
- Strong phone presence and effective interpersonal communication skills across multiple channels
- Foundational business acumen with a desire to grow
- Self-starter mentality with proven follow-up and time management abilities
- A passion for learning and personal growth
- Experience with Salesforce, Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesloft, Zoominfo, Gong, Chorus or other like sales tools preferred
Compensation
Cash compensation for this role is commensurate with experience. Estimated total on-target earnings are approximately $83,000 annually, comprised of a base salary of $58,000 and variable compensation tied to performance.

Location
This position is hybrid, based in Colorado. We value flexibility alongside intentional in-person collaboration, and expect this role to be in-office 2 days per week.
Candidates must be based in Colorado and able to reliably commute to our Denver office.
